Comedian Charlie Callas Died – American Superstars

During his life, Charlie Callas frequent guest on variety shows and comedy. He also became the opening act for stars like Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones. Last July, his wife named Evelyn Callas died at the age of 80 years.

“Everyone who met, he left them with a smile,” said Mark Callas, son of Charlie Callas who also co-producer of the revue “American Superstars” at the Stratosphere. According to Mark Callas, he encouraged parents to move to Las Vegas from New York in 2002.

Charlie Callas Started Career in Television

Callas television career started in 1963 when he performed on the show “Hollywood Palace” variety. In 1985, he worked with Charo in “Moulin Rouge” production at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Although he does not work in a professional showroom after moving to Las Vegas, he performed at The Orleans in benefits for Italian earthquake victims in May 2009 and other benefits for veterans of Las Vegas entertainer Norman Kaye previous year. Charlie Callas performed burial at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas.
